Start with Your Story
Thursday, September 2, 2010
When you are presenting your company to a potential client, customer or business partner you should start by telling your story.
Start by telling them a bit about you (if you don't know each other). How you found the company, when you joined, what made you most interested, what you like the best about it so far, what your favorite product is so far what it has allowed you to do.
Then introduce the company. When did they start? What is their credibility? What is their history? How about success? What is their mission?
You only need 5-10 minutes to set this up BEFORE you start talking about products or compensation plan. It makes it more personal, it shows WHY you decided to join.
and KEEP the HYPE OUT.
The Truth is enough!
Just because you are not a millionaire or it has taken you awhile to build your business doesn't mean you have a bad story.
If you have been a customer for 5 years and just working the business here and there then hey that says something! You've been a customer for 5 YEARS! That says something about the products right? And it says something about YOU. You have experience the company for awhile. You have used the products and enjoy them.
So you don't need to make a lot of money to have a good story :)
To your Success!!!
